Ethan Burmeister
Lead Pastor
Ethan has the honor of being husband to Erin and dad to Christian, Izzy, Anna, and Samuel. He is the visionary planter-pastor who God called to launch this whole thing. He continues to be the lead teacher and visionary. Ethan drives a Rebel motorcycle to work, but he wishes it was a Harley. At least he has a cool skull cap.
Doug Stevens
Executive Pastor
Doug has the joy of being husband to Whitney and dad to Caedmon and Gabrielle. He pastorally oversees finances, Children’s Ministry, ministry teams, structural development, Sunday gathering coordination, and some leadership development. Doug drives a Honda to work, which isn’t nearly as cool as a Harley or a Surly, but at least it’s from Texas.
Matthew Smith
Formation Pastor
Matthew has the privilege of being husband to Jenni and dad to Jonah and Lucy. He pastorally oversees our Home Communities and Prayer Ministry, as well as giving direction to counseling ministries and other expressions of formation. Matthew rides a Surly bicycle to work, even in the winter. He gets a lot of honks, which he always interprets as secret admirers.
Amy Zakrajsek
Deacon for Ministry Coordination
Amy has the blessing of being wife to Rich and mom to Jack and Dylan. She serves Core by coordinating volunteers, gatherings, and events of many different kinds. She also serves as an assistant to the pastors. Amy drives the biggest vehicle out of all of us, which immediately makes the rest of us feel proud for being greener.
Tim Wildsmith
Music Coordinator
Tim serves Core by coordinating music, musicians, vocalists, and the flow of Core’s worship gatherings. His skill in songwriting and music and his giftings in administration are a blessing to our church. Tim, our beloved rock star, drives a station wagon. Yeah, enough said.
Jeff DeArment
Deacon for Admin/Financial Coordination
Jeff enjoys the privilege of being husband to Erin and dad to Owen. He serves Core by carefully tracking and distributing finances, as well as picking up various parts of administration. Jeff’s car is named Kimchi, probably because it is a small Daewoo, but it gets him from Point A to Point B (usually).
