Acts 29 Church Planting Quarterly

July 19, 2010 | Author: Doug |

Each quarter Core joins up with Coram Deo to host a quarterly gathering for church planters in the region.  We have church leaders from all over the Metro, plus coming from western Nebraska and Iowa.  If you know someone who is planting a church or interested in learning more about church planting, pass this along to them.

DATE: August 3, 2010, 11:30 to 1 PM
NEW LOCATION! Basement of 1316 Jones Street in the Old Market – the great facilities of GAMe.

So far this year we’ve brought in special guests Jeff Vanderstelt and Hugh Halter to talk about missional church dynamics. The last quarterly with Hugh was the highest-attended quarterly we’ve ever had, with over 70 church leaders coming together to consider how to create a healthy missional flow in your church.

This time, Coram Deo’s own Bob Thune will lead our training time, focusing on the subject of gospel formation. His contention is that life has formed your people in ways that are contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ. And so getting them to ‘really believe’ the gospel takes more than good preaching or sound doctrine or a good small group. It takes re-orienting every aspect of your church to intentionally form people in the gospel. We’ll talk together about what this looks like, and how you as a leader can help make it happen.

In order to help us get an accurate count for food, please RSVP to Kevin Huddleston (kevin @ cdomaha.com) by next Friday, July 30. We look forward to seeing you there!
